Sunny Palumbo, PhD

As Assist Research Scientist for the Center for Disparities in Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolism, Dr. Sunny Palumbo serves as senior researcher in Dr. Mandarino's laboratory, as well as lab manager. As an Assistant Research Scientist, Dr. Palumbo works closely with Dr. Mandarino and other center faculty to develop and carry out complex experiments in the lab and assist with data analysis. 

Dr. Palumbo was born and raised in South Korea and came to USA for graduate school. She obtained her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology at the University of Arizona and finished her post-doctoral training in aging of human stem cells at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
